The project was the construction of a new maintenance facility for tactical vehicles and equipment. It included eight high-bays each having an independent vehicle exhaust removal system, compressed air, and vehicle fluids. There are offices and restrooms on two floors for which we provided heating, cooling, and plumbing.

Vehicle fluids are in 55-gallon drums and pumped through a distribution system to each of the vehicle bays. Engine oil, gear oil, engine coolant, transmission fluid, and compressed air are available at each bay through retractable hose reels from above. The exhaust removal system also has retractable hoses from above that connect to the vehicle’s exhaust pipes. The compressed air system has a 30 hp compressor and 500 gallon storage tank. GM installed all the piping and equipment for these distribution systems.

The building is heated with hydronic heat through heating coils in the air handlers, radiant heaters, and fan powered unit heaters. The computer rooms are provided cooling through three split system air conditioning units.
